John Qu
As graduates of the inaugural class of 1982 from the Beijing Film Academy, John and Leanne initially sought to convey their art through film. While working as a professional cinematographer, John became intrigued by the pure, naturally occurring beauty that served as the backdrop of many movies he made. Drawing from his prior experience in teaching photography, he began to devote more of his time to taking photos – discovering, exploring and capturing magnificent scenery from around the world. Since 2006, he has been a full-time outdoor photographer. His award-winning works are entirely his creation from editing to printing, matting and framing.
Leanne also became an avid photographer, traveling together with John. In addition, she works as a software engineer at an IT consulting firm.
