The name QK is derived from the last names of John Qu and Leanne Kong. They are husband and wife as well as the two photographers of the QKphoto. They love to travel together, take pictures together, and criticize each other. After coming back from their trip of Europe in the summer of 2006, they decided to share some of their views through their photographs.

John Qu was a professional cinematographer in China and a member of Chinese Photographer Association. It¡¯s been over 20 years since John graduated from Beijing Film Academy in 1982 with 4 years training on film photography. He had made several movies and taught photography in China before he came to the United States. Since then, he had continued with some side projects as a photographer in US and China. After the summer of 2006, John has devoted himself mostly to the outdoor photographing, editing, printing, matting and framing.
Leanne Kong also graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. She had made several movies as well before she changed her profession as a software developer. But she has been keeping her passion on the outdoor photography.
John and Leanne are planning to share more of their views of natural beauty from different angles. They especially like to capture more cultural and spiritual beauty that embedded in the natural beauty.
